"The Fork in the Road"

Heaven and Hell are CHOICES, each of us have been given the "Created" Free Will to choose one or the other. Thus every soul in Hell is a "Volunteer," and is not surprised by the Verdict of Damnation at the point of Death.

It may sound simple, and in a way, it is, for Life is what we, with The Grace of God, Make it to be. For it isn't "Circumstance" that Controls our Life, but "How" we deal with the various Moments along the way. And it is in those day by day choices that either lead us on the path toward Heaven, or Not.

Denying the Existence of Hell doesn't work either, for whether or not one believes in Hell, doesnt make it any less real. There are many references of Hell in Sacred Scripture, and in fact Jusus speaks more often of Hell than He does of Heaven. This should silence those who, by pretending that few, if "any" go to hell, try to justify non compliance with The Commandments, by focusing on God's Mercy, while forgetting Completely His "Divine Justice."

Basically, the Choice is between Two "Kingdoms," that of God, and that of the Flesh. Though our Human Nature has embedded within it "Self Preservation," The Law of Love, as Manifested by God, Through His Only Begotten Son, Enables The Christian to Rise Above The "Self" making "Charity" The Motivating Factor in every Decision.

The "Me, Myself and I," the "Egotistical trinity" seeks, for the most part, the Easy path, trying to fulfill every want and at the same time, Eliminating every, "Inconvenience" even that of a "Child," in all too many cases. Such Selfishness is often seen by those who have lost thier way as Virtuous, which is the Consequence of a Corrupt and Perverse Society.

When faced with difficult Decisions, Faith must Guide the Soul, lest Regret and even Dispair be the end result of thier self-absorption.

We must Pray for those Who have so easily been lead astray by thier Vices and the Voices of the Worldly, while at the same time, letting them know that Our Loving Father in Heaven Desires thier Repentance, and all they have to do, no matter what Evil that they have committed, is to run into The Arms of Divine Love, Who will guide them to the harbor of internal Peace, Through Forgiveness.

"Feast of The Guardian Angels"

As we draw near to The Blessed Season of Advent and Christmas, Our attention is focused on The Holy Angels.

They brought The Good News of the Birth of Christ, not to The Synagogues, Scribes or The Social Elites of the day, but rather to the Poorest of the Poor, The "Shepherds."

Despite the Picturesque images we see depicted on Christmas cards, They were considered by most, as Unclean and Worthless, even what one might call "Throw away" individuals, who were considered by "Society" as those who would never amount to much, and thus, were confined to the Fields to tend to the sheep, and who, in this day and age, would be "Cancelled" for being too "Uneducated" or perceived as Social outcasts, even rejected because, rather than being part of the Religious "Intelligencia" the simplicity of thier Faith was considered unacceptable.

To these, were the Angelic Hosts sent from on High. What Love and Tenderness does our Heavenly Father Manifest to the Shepherds, for they would be the First to know, and the First to Spread The Message of The Messiah's Arrival, The First Missionaries.

So unassuming were they, that without self interest or puffed up self importance, they freely gave what they had, without cost, Recieved.

Such selfless Virtue should be found in all Truely Spiritual Leaders, and in the Heart of every Apostolic Endeavor. Both The Angels as well as The Shepherds dwelt continuously in The Glory of such Humility, that only The Truth of Who they are before The Majesty of God affords.

May I, Oh Lord, Foster within my own Heart, The Dispositions of those poor Shepherds, and rather than considering myself "Worthy" of So many Gifts that Thy Mercy has bestowed upon me, help me to Realize that it is not the Vessel, but The Wine Within it, that though it is no more than the juice from crushed grapes, that from such a humble creature can become, through the Words of Consecration, The Creator of The Universe.

"Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, Virgin, and Doctor"

This "Doctor" of The Church Entered Eternal life at the Young age of TwentyFour. And though her life was cut short by Tuberculosis, her, "Little Way," has had a Great Impact upon The Spirituality of The Faithful.

Along with Every other Saint throughout Church History, the Common Thread in all of thier Actions and Teachings, was that Their Vocation and Apostolate was Built upon upon the Foundation of Divine LOVE.

She taught us that it is The "Quality" of our Love that gives Incredible Value to even the Smallest of Actions, and even our faults and flaws can be a means of, not only our own Sanctification, but can, when offered in Loving Union with Christ Crucified, Be Beneficial for The Salvation of Souls.

By the Example of her Life, we can clearly see, that we as well, Encounter Numerous opportunities to Practice Virtue every single day and in Every Situation. For Example, When Encountering a particularly Obnoxious individual, St Therese showed such Patience and Charity to that person throughout her life, that upon her Death, the woman actually thought that The Saint was her Best Friend.

If we wait for "Big" things to offer up, we might have to wait a long time, and if we haven't prepared ourselves by way of the "Little" things, there is No Guarantee that one will be able to Practice the Virtue Necessary to be successful in More Difficult Situations.

Thus Her "Little Way" is not a Childish approach to Spirituality, but "ChildLike." And though it may seem almost too Simple, it is, in Reality "The Way of The Cross." She was quite aware that While Hanging from The Cross, Jesus called out to His Father with The Word "ABBA" which in the Vernacular means "Pappa" or "Daddy."

What a Magnificent Understanding by someone so Simple and unassuming. If Only our Entire approach to Life, in all it's Joys, Sorrows and Sufferings would be seen through the eyes of such Innocence, how quickly one would rise up in True Holiness.

Lord Jesus, I beg of Thee to grant to me The Courage that it takes to find You in Those whom I find Trying, The Strength, to Suffer pain and Injustices, and the Patience to deal with Mercy and Forgiveness the Faults and flaws of others.

Heavenly Father, Open my Heart to See You as "Loving and Affectionate," as One Who Sustains me, Who offers Grace upon Grace in order to Fulfill with Loving Gratitude Thy Most Holy and Sacred Will.

With All my Heart I Thank You, I Praise You, I Adore You, and I Love You, my "Abba."

"HELL"

In todays Gospel, our Lord focuses our attention on The "Last Things," Heaven and Hell.

Here, we note that the Angels, once again, have a roll in the determination of our final Destination. Throughout our lives, They have witnessed the Good and the Bad, our Strengths and Weaknesses, and throughout it all, they have remained Steadfast at our sides to Guide and Inspire us always toward the Good, while at the same time protecting us from Evil. The only one able to thwart thier Efforts is the Will of Man. By ignoring or Rejecting thier Assistance, we, over time, fall farther from True Love and Eventually Choose Hell.

We Must Wake up from the Slumber of Indifference to The Supernatural, by Fostering a True "Spiritual Life," one founded on Prayer, Sacrifice and Divine Revelation. The Knowledge obtained, through The Guidance of The Holy Spirit, is given to The Elect, in order that they may not perish, but have Eternal Life.

The "Other Worldliness" of Our Faith, Must not be ignored, lest we fall into a ,"Humanistic" approach to Religion, which is the goal of every Evil institution ever created my mankind. They seek to Replace The "Divine" with the state, demanding that The Allegiance once Given Only to God, be transformed into an Obedience to the Will of men.

The Church and Her Divinely Revealed Teachings, are not just One Among many Truths or Teachings, for TRUTH, being One, Immutable and Eternal, Cannot, by it's very Nature, "Change," for what is True, Will always be so, and no amount of "Consensus" can change that Fact.

That's why it has been said;

"God So Loved The World that He Didn't Send a Commitee"

Regardless of how many try to Silence The Church, It Has The God Given "Right" and "Obligation" to Evangelize The World for Christ. For The Lord God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, IS The ONLY Hope of Mankind. All else leads to Nothing but Death and Destruction.

Let us waken from the sleep of death and Rise with Christ to witness The Gospel to All Mankind, with the Certain Knowledge that Our Lord God And Saviour Jesus Christ is

"THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE"

And there is No other.

"Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, Archangels"

In The Apocalypse, St Micheal is Leader of The Heavenly Hosts, and since He Vanquished Satan and his Cohorts, He is The Patron of The Military, Police, Firefighters and all those who put the safety of other's before thier own.

St Gabriel, we find in The Book of Daniel, and it was He who Announced to Mary that She would Concieve and Bear The Son of The Most High God.

St Raphael, Healed Tobit of his blindness, even His name means "God Heals."

This Feast, along with the Feast of The Guardian Angels celebrated on October 2nd, enables us to focus on the Purely Spiritual Persons, Who not only accompany us during our Pilgrimage, and Who's Presence was Manifested at The Birth of Our Lord, but are also Present along with The Mystical Body, at Every Sacrifice of The Mass.

By recognizing The Presence of The Angels among us throughout our lives, we add another Spiritual Dimension to The Divine Mystery of our Redemption.

In recent times, As The Church focused more and more on External "Mission," it was frequently at the Expense of The "Supernatural," often times seeing Jesus more as a "Friend" than The God Who Saves us. Though, it is True that Our Beloved Lord Became One With us through The "Hypostatic Union" so that we could have Him as The Object of our Love, The Reverence that is His Due, The Obedience He is Owed and The Adoration of His Very Person, are Necessary aspects of any True and Complete Spirituality.

The Angels are a Great Force Against the Evils of our day, and thus, We Must Invoke thier Assistance and thier Protection at all times, but especially in those moments of temptation and trial. The "St Micheal Prayer" is a Powerful tool against the Forces of Evil, and should be Recited often, especially when in Danger.

We each have a Guardian Angel assigned to us, and it is Imperative that we Foster a "Person to Person" Relationship. Realizing that The Difference between us and the Angels, is that they are Pure Spirit, whereas, though we are also "Spirit," our Perfection lies in Both the Corporial as well as Spiritual, in other words, we are a Composite of both Body and Soul.

With regard to Our Beloved Lord Jesus, Who Is True God and True Man, we Must keep always before our mind's eye Both His Divinity and His Humanity thus Manifesting The Reverence, Devotion and Adherance to The Father's Will, which was one of The Reasons for The Incarnation, not only to Redeem us, but also to "Show" us, "How" to live in The Restoration of Grace.

As "Soldiers" of Christ, we are Never alone, for we are United in the Battle against Evil, both Internal and External, not only in Union with The Church "Triumphant," and The Church "Suffering," but God, Our Heavenly Father, has Given to us The Assistance of The Holy Angels, thus Guaranteeing, along with Jesus as Our King, our Complete and Total Victory over Evil.
